Experienced Enterprise Architect
N.A. firm is looking for an Experienced Enterprise Architect to join our Technology practice and work closely with our Mergers & Acquisitions Practice on M&A Due Diligence projects. We are seeking a candidate with expertise designing technology solutions through system integration and application development. The candidate must also demonstrate working knowledge and experience with business process improvement techniques and best practices, software engineering concepts (requirements management, development methodologies, object-oriented design, unit testing and documentation), and project management methodologies. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our emerging Technology practice on strategic enterprise architecture projects, M&A due diligences, post-merger integrations, and leading large scale implementations.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidates will have 4-7 years of hands-on professional development experience.
- Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration and custom object-oriented design and development
- Strong software engineering experience with one or both more of the following core competencies:
- .NET framework 3.5 & 4.0 (ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, and ADO.NET)
- Java SE 5 and higher with J2EE (EJB, JDBC, Servlets, JSP, JSTL, JMS)
- Experience applying Agile/lean methodologies
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server 2008
- Experience with web services (SOAP / XML, etc.) and WCF
- Experience with web development mark-up and scripting languages such as HTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript / JSON / AJAX, cascading style sheets (CSS), jQuery
- A desire to work with the latest tools, technologies, and methodologies including Visual Studio 2010, SQL Server 2008, object relational (O/R) mapping (NHibernate, Entity Framework), NUnit, CruiseControl.NET, and Agile Methodologies)
- Mobile experience in iOS and WP7 is a plus
- Demonstrated experience with test driven development and related tools (NUnit, CruiseControl.NET, TeamCity, NCover, etc.)
- Solid demonstrated work experience with web-based and/or client-server development
- Understanding and demonstrated use of design patterns
- Understanding that he/she will be responsible for design as well as development work
- Demonstrated experience managing technical engagements including proposal development, estimation, and day-to-day project management experience (time tracking, budgeting, status reporting, etc.)
- Experience working within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based consulting environment
- Ability to lead and mentor other team members or developers while leading projects
- Experience using cloud platforms such as Azure is a plus
- Experience with SharePoint, Great Plains, MS-CRM, and/or SalesForce.com a major plus
- BS / Computer Science, MIS or equivalent required
- Excellent leadership, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
