Chairman's Message - December 2020

As we wrap up our final training event of the year and turn toward 2021 planning and the holidays all of us at the M&A Leadership Council are counting our blessings!
Despite the COVID related disruptions and the operating pivot we have all faced, it’s been a banner year for the Council, with a great deal of credit and thanks due to you - our Partners, Alumni companies and participants.
During 2020 we have produced 19 different educational events for the M&A community, including online training sessions, webinars, and a single on-site workshop (Scottsdale, January 2020 --ah, those were the days!).
More importantly, over 1,200 executives and M&A practitioners have participated in these events, representing approximately 200 companies – each with a shared commitment to internal M&A capability development and continuous improvement.
During our 2020 learning events, the broad base of approximately 30 different faculty presenters, including Partner Organizations (Willis Towers Watson, BDO, M&A Partners, and Mergermarket among others), Alumni companies, individual executives and subject experts, plus best-in-class M&A practitioners, have each provided invaluable and immediately applicable insights and best practices.
I am personally grateful to our outstanding team at the M&A Leadership Council, April Dumas, Larry Dell, and Noel Giger, for their hard work, patience, and perseverance throughout our COVID pivot. Most importantly, as a team, we are counting our blessings for the many outstanding executives, corporate M&A practitioners, and faculty it has been our honor to serve this year.
It is with a great deal of confidence and enthusiasm, that we look forward to an even better year ahead. Until then, stay safe, stay well, and we hope to see you again soon at an M&A Leadership Council event.
