Art of M&A Divestitures Begins this August
Submitted by M&A Leadership Council
The M&A Leadership Council is happy to announce our new 3-day program to address the framework, best practices, processes, structures and tools for managing strategic Divestments, Carve-outs and Spin-offs for creating new value. As corporate divestitures become more and more prominent in strategic M&A, we see companies managing their holdings in portfolio fashion as they acquire new products and services and divest the loss-leaders or spin-off entities whose value would be better realized standing alone. In fact, roughly 30% of today’s M&A transactions are a result of a divestment.
This exciting new program is scheduled for August 8-10 in Denver, Colorado and we will open registrations on April 10. 72 CMAS credits will be awarded.
Topics will include:
- The business drivers for Divestitures and Spin-offs
- Divestiture life-cycle and priorities at each stage
- Creating Shareholder Value in a Spin-Off
- A look in the mirror - Preparing for sale and reverse due diligence
- Transaction management
- The transition (Buyer/Seller) – Day 1, the TSA and Post-Close
- Structuring and Managing the TSA
- Addressing the people issues
- Value creation strategies for Spin-offs
- Break-out Sessions, Case Studies, Facilitated Peer Discussions
