Course Summary:
This virtual course, trained by expert M&A practitioners, provides a comprehensive understanding of the M&A process, spanning from initial strategy to long-term value creation. It covers the M&A lifecycle, encompassing strategy, targeting, due diligence, transaction management, pre-announce and pre-close integration, post-close integration, and fundamentals of integration. Group discussions explore objectives and challenges. Additionally, it delves into the critical role of IT and the importance of managing people and culture in integration. The course also includes practical insights through case studies, assignments, group exercises, and readouts. Participants will gain a well-rounded knowledge of M&A, equipping them with the skills to navigate the complexities of mergers and acquisitions successfully.

M&A Lifecycle Framework – Overview: Understand the stages of mergers and acquisitions, from strategy to integration, for effective deal management.
Phase 1: Strategy & Targeting: Learn how to formulate acquisition strategies and identify suitable targets aligned with organizational goals.

Prerequisites: Participants should have at least a baseline general awareness of acquisition integration in a corporate environment. This course will provide a comprehensive “lifecycle” viewpoint on key decisions, issues, risks, objectives, and requirements for the Integration Leader and/or Integration Management Office (IMO) success at each phase of the M&A lifecycle process.
Advance Preparation: Short proprietary case study pre-read will be sent one week prior to course start date.
