According to an analysis by Mergermarket, an Acuris company, the top US city for healthcare M&A is Boston. It emerged as the clear capital for the sector, with 93 Boston-based companies sold between 2015 and 2018.
California is a clear leader at the state level (399 deals for a total of USD 159.9 billion) because it has multiple healthcare hubs, each claiming a top spot of its own: San Francisco (#2 on the list), Los Angeles (#6) and San Diego (#10).
