1. Consulting Senior Manager

Seeking a Consulting Senior Manager with prior experience in business and technology consulting or corporate IT M&A experience to join our Chicago office and National M&A practice  As Consulting Senior Manager in our M&A practice, you will serve Private Equity and Strategic clients with a focus on corporate divestiture/carve-out transactions from sell-side readiness, pre-close IT and operations due diligence, Day 1 readiness planning, and post-close carve-out IT separation execution. 

In addition to client delivery, you will have the opportunity to assist with business development (hunting  new clients and building relationship with existing), along with contributing to internal practice development leadership.

Job Description:

Consulting Senior Managers have three primary responsibilities:

Client Delivery:

  • Execute IT and operational carve-out strategy and due diligence projects (both sell-side and buy-side) – manage client relationships, startup and plan diligence, lead site visit workshops, assess underlying IT environment, develop recommendations for one-time separation costs and standalone operating model (operating costs)
  • Program manage and lead work streams for IT and operational carve-out execution initiatives including Day 1 readiness and longer-term Day S separation projects – interfacing to Client and/or PE Executive sponsors
  • Apply functional knowledge in key shared services (e.g. finance & accounting, human resources, IT) and/or supply chain including standalone benchmarking and separation considerations
  • Interface with all levels of management both internally and at client sites Manage project economics including project budget tracking, client invoicing, and receivables management.  

 

2. Director of Mergers and Acquisitions

Seeking a Director with business consulting and merger integration experience.  We are seeking candidates with prior M&A integration strategy, planning, post-merger integration management (i.e. IMO), as well as functional / operational work stream management and execution. As a Director, you will serve clients in a variety of capacities, with a specific focus on selling and delivering value through integration readiness assessments, target due diligence, integration strategy and planning, and post-close integration management.  In addition to selling and client service delivery, you will be an integral part of our team that helps shape our office culture and participates significantly in the entrepreneurial process of growing an office with strong double digit growth (strategy, recruiting, team building, practice development, etc.).

Job Description:

Directors have three primary responsibilities:

Client Delivery: 

  • Lead teams serving clients across industries (with specific capabilities in mergers & acquisitions), while demonstrating executive presence with high level client counterparts
  • Manage M&A transactions at any point in the M&A deal lifecycle
  • Provide overall integration leadership to clients; including leading the IMO setup and management, leading various functional work streams, provide M&A mentoring
    to clients and internal resources tools
  • Interface with all levels of management both internally and at client sites
  • Work with engagement leadership to implement processes and technology that support business value and process efficiency across business and technical functions
  • Work closely with the line of business owners to create new business processes
  • Facilitate client workshops focused on driving deal value
  • Understand the underlying business processes and technologies being used within an organization to be able to make recommendations on how to achieve long-term scalability, reduce operational cost, or better support business processes
  • Assess operational, IT, Finance and Human Resources investment strategies and compare respective operating models and organizational structures against leading practices and industry benchmarks
  • Manage project economics including:
    • Track project budgets, create and deliver invoices, and manage collection process
    • Mentor and manage teams of consultants and QA work done by the team
    • Quickly respond to client requests while also driving the project to completion
