M&A Strategy Managers

Our national consulting M&A strategy and commercial due diligence practice helps clients ensure their M&A strategy aligns with their broader corporate goals.  Based on the client’s corporate strategy, market expectations and corresponding portfolio gaps, we identify and assess targets based on meaningful screening criteria that can include a client’s strategic objectives, potential synergies, organizational and cultural fit, and the feasibility of a deal.

We have several job openings for M&A Strategy Managers to lead complex M&A client engagements. These Managers interact with all parties associated with a deal setting (e.g. bankers, lawyers, other 3rd party advisors). Our M&A Strategy Managers should be able to identify key client business issues, determine client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluate and validate analysis and develop recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement.  

  • Technology, media and telecommunications industries
  • A minimum of 6 years relevant industry and/or M&A consulting experience is required; prior investment banking experience is preferred
  • Experience with pre-deal M&A activities and the ability to interact with a potential target’s management team
  • Experience with financial analysis and reporting, market analysis and gathering competitive intelligence, particularly in relation to M&A activity
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required; an MBA is preferred
  • Eagerness to mentor junior staff

M&A Senior Managers

Our national consulting mergers & acquisitions service line brings a structured and disciplined approach to our clients in areas such as M&A strategy, commercial & operational due diligence, integration strategy and execution, divestiture strategy and execution, functional integration and carve outs, M&A capability development as well as pre-distressed and distressed restructuring.

We are looking for experienced industry-candidates to help us drive M&A Integration Strategy and Execution and help our clients through critical steps that bring a transaction from concept through execution. Our approach helps companies develop the structure and discipline to effectively identify, execute and integrate their deals.

M&A Senior Managers are expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including: Engagement Management, Client Management, Business Development, Practice Development, People Development, and M&A Expertise.

  • Technology, media and telecommunications industries
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant industry and/or M&A consulting experience is required
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-thread programs including scope definition, objective prioritization, risk management, and issue resolution
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and concurrently overseeing client deliverables
  • Expertise in delivering high-quality program outcomes according to the scope, work plan, quality standards and budget
  • Experience hiring and developing resources with high-value skills that align with market needs
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred
  • Ability to support development of others by delivering key performance feedback, coaching and demonstrating role-model behavior
