Oct 2014 Chairman's Message: Experience Our New 2015 M&A Training Programs

If you’ve taken a look at our website lately, you’ll notice a big change in our offerings for next year.  Based on input from the M&A community and our conference alumni, we are expanding our training programs and the methods for delivering the content.

First, we will continue to present a constantly updated version of the 3-day “Art of M&A Integration” with content covering the integration life cycle (Bridging from Diligence - Pre-Announce - Pre-Close and Post-Close). All governance, requirements, structures, workflow, methods and tools will be addressed in this interactive course.  These highly rated seminars will continue to be presented by the best instructors from our partner firms who have real-world talent and experience.  The Art of M&A Integration seminars will continue to be held in first-class resorts.

Now for the exciting news:  Beginning in January, the Council will hold one or two tactical deep dive events every month.  Our new “Fly-In” workshops will be held right inside the Dallas airport, at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Hyatt. These 10-hour, high impact, intense seminars will be loaded with information critical for success in each of the specialized areas of M&A (Strategy, IT, Due Diligence, and Legal Risks & Compliance).  Each Fly-In seminar will begin at noon, allowing most participants to arrive in the morning, and will end by 3:00 pm the following day to allow for travel back home.  A networking reception will be given each evening in the hotel.  Obviously the Art of M&A Fly-Ins are designed for busy people who desire training but can’t take precious time out for extended travel (in by noon on Thursday and out by 3 PM on Friday).

See the corresponding article in this issue of the M&A Monthly for course descriptions, or to view our training calendar CLICK HERE.

We look forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces to these conferences -- please join us throughout 2015 for The New Art of M&A Series.
