Wendy Parkes has over 30-years’ experience as an HR Professional in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia in the financial services industry. Wendy’s passion lies with Global M&A where she has been instrumental in leading the HR side of numerous deals through due diligence, planning, integration, and optimization efforts.
Wendy is an authentic leader who prides herself on building strong client relationships and creating environments where employees succeed and business performance flourishes. She emphasizes the importance of understanding all aspects of the employee and customer experience, and the impact culture and change can have on deal results. These qualities are why she is often sought out by leaders seeking a strong thought partner on HR M&A opportunities and challenges.
As Managing Director and Head of Human Resources International for BMO Financial Group (BMO) in London, U.K., she was instrumental in building the International HR team and enhancing the HR operating model as BMO acquired a new business in the UK. She provided advice and counsel to Executives and Senior Leaders in EMEA and Asia ensuring change initiatives and HR solutions (programs and processes) are consistently and effectively implemented across the all Businesses and Functional Groups.
Wendy’s earlier experience includes Managing Director, Global Acquisitions and Divestitures for BMO Financial Group where she led the creation of BMO’s Global HR Acquisition and Divestiture (A&D) Center of Expertise and a number of critical deals in Canada, U.S. and Europe.
In addition to M&A, Wendy held a number of leadership roles within BMO HR’s Centers of Expertise along with leading HR business partner teams across various businesses and corporate groups.
Wendy holds an MBA from Dalhousie University and a BA from The University of Guelph.
