Len Gray is a former head of international M&A practice at Mercer. Mercer is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, a global team of professional services companies offering clients advice and solutions in the areas of risk, strategy and human capital.
Len has 30 years of experience at Mercer and served in a variety of leadership roles in the US and Asia-Pacific, most recently as the Global Leader for M&A Consulting Services. He was involved in providing talent management, human capital strategy, cultural integration and leadership development consulting services to Mercer’s clients during transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and start-ups. From 1999 through 2003, Len was the Central Region Managing Partner for Human Capital Advisory Services at Deloitte.
Len has an MBA from Case Western Reserve University and a BA from Lehigh University. He has participated in the organizational and executive coaching certification program at the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara.
He is a frequent presenter to industry groups on M&A topics and is regularly quoted in periodicals on M&A issues. Len has been interviewed on CCTV-9 (China) and the Bloomberg morning news show. He is the lead author of Mercer’s POV on successfully launching new organizations after a spin-off, The HR ‘Stand-up’ Challenge. Len also authored “Going Global, Being Global: Degrees of Difficulty in Cross-Border M&A Deals,” which was published in the WORLDATWORK JOURNAL.
